Looks like he is off on loan to Ipswich....a mistake imo.
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/ ... le-on-loanI think he is pacey a good age at 25 and always looked like he might score a goal. I would rather keep him in the squad and loan out Madine!
It seems that Neil Warnock has never forgiven his sending off last year.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there was more to this, than just a simple sending off?

I feel for the lad as he was starting to put in some good performances before he got sent off.
Saying that a loan would be good for him as he is unlikely to be in the 25 man squad.

I agree - looks far more likely to score than Madine does and has the pace and power that defenders hate.

glad we are starting to get the players leaving the club now
Pilks and tomlin are the two main ones now.

In December he did not turn up for training on a number of occasions At the time ww were short of players and he basically pretended to be ill and was caught out by the club. I doubt he will ever play for the first teams again By all accounts he did similar out on loan

If that is true then at least it makes more sense. Also may explain why he was hardly seen pre season (although he scored when he played in the under 23s

).
But how definite is the not turning up for training story....Seems a really daft thing to do when he would be needed and it was his big chance!!

That was the trouble - he always looked like he could score a goal, but didnt.

I always thought he looked decent but I've heard from a source that when we were down to the bare bones, and he was told he would start the next game, he allegedly failed to turn up to training and the club had to send someone out to find him. Could be crap but would explain a lot as I liked what I saw from him on the pitch.

Absolutely agree, far better than Madine in my opinion

ah ....It just makes no sense to me. Sometimes you have to cut your losses. I know people will say Madine hasn't had much of a chance and that's true, but he looks a long way from Pre m class to me! He may come off the bench and even get a couple of goals! But I think Bogle is far more likely to do that and his wages are prob far lower. I'd try to sell Madine and keep Bogle.

Well it came from someone who should know from In the club Also my sons good friend plays for Peterbrough and feedback was he was acting the big time Charlie and they never took to him in the squad Wigan I believe got rid of him pretty quickly so maybe he has issues

You're right. Madine is barely Championship quality in my opinion let alone Premier. Bogle, although raw, does have something about him and again, in my opinion, can offer more of a threat. I hope this isn't a personality issue. Maybe Warnock can recall him early if he's doing the business for Ipswich.

Shame he had a chance and blew it, obviously more to this than meets the eye, especially as he was not taken to Cornwall.
500k gamble that did not come off.

It's only a mistake if Warnock fails to bring in another striker

I suppose it’s hard for us fans to know who to keep as we don’t see the players on a daily basis and don’t now all the facts, so I’ll just trust NW on this one.
A lot of fans seem to be writing Madine off with claims such as “he’s barely Championship standard”. Maybe I’ve been watching a different Gary Madine play for Cardiff City, but I thought he looked a good player, aside from his scoring record which I put down to confidence and lack of game time. He has never been an out-and-out goal scorer, so I’m sure that’s not what Warnock bought him for anyway. Whilst I appreciate apprehension regarding his ability to play in the top flight, surely that’s the case for most of our players.
He’s a battering ram that provides a different option to Zohore and more importantly, a Bluebird, so will be getting my full support until the day he’s deemed surplus to requirements by our manager.
I’m appreciative of the fact my opinion is shared by only a minority of our fans.

No surprise that Birmingham are now interested in Bogle. Monks pretty sharp as a manager and must have seen promise in Bogl e to be asking Cardiff!
Warnock says he may end up buying a couple of players who might not make the team.
As stated in the IT for me Bogle is one of the better options upfront.
E.g. Far more mobile than Madin e and can challenge for headers better than Zahore.
Seems daft to loan him out especially before getting another in!
BE not interested in trying him even in pre season. Mystery!
