Cardiff City have the poorest fans

That’s according to new figures published by the Mirror today.

According to research conducted by Footballtips.com, Cardiff City fans earn an average of £19,000 a year - the lowest of any club in the Premier League.

The Bluebirds sit just below West Ham (£20,000) and Burnley (£21,000).

Fans of Brighton and Hove Albion were found to be the highest average earners at £43,000.

£19,000 earnings in cardiff/valleys > £20,000 earnings in east london/surrounding areas

Pile of shit, they make them up, as they are bored and there is no football to talk about.

Another pile of shit survey by this brain dead rag. Was anybody on this forum asked? The survey conductor probably stood outside the family stand exit asking all the children! :bluescarf:

Brought to you, no doubt, by the same statisticians who insisted that Donald Trump couldn't be nominated or elected, Brexit could never win the referrendum and Cardiff City couldn't be promoted !

Utter f******g nonsense. It's the result of general dumbing down and handing degrees out with cornflakes to all sorts of gimboids who really aren't capable of higher thinking. I've frequently commented that we have this statistic based thinking system now which makes it possible for retards to reach plausible conclusions "by numbers" instead of processing the data themselves and reaching practical results .

Common sense will tell you that in order for this to mean anything,

1. You would have to question every single football fan in the country, and

2. They'd all have to tell you the truth.

Do we include the Duke of Gloucester as an Aston Villa fan, Elton John in Watfords count or Alan Sugar for Tottenham ?
Do we include the unmployed in each area, and do we calculate their incomes as their current benefits or as nil ?

I know a lot of Cardiff supporters round the world who are doing rather well for income actually.

Oh, by the way , do they include Manchester Utd fans in the Far East with an annual income of about 40 p ?

Apart from all that, what exactly are they trying to say ? Does this somehow reflect well or badly on various clubs ?
Actually, there's the same journalistic huberis in sports journalists as political ones. They said Cardiff City could win Jack s**t just as their cousins said Donald Trump couldn't be elected and Brexit couldn't win, so they now deny reality rather than admit that they didn't actually know what they were talking about and constantly attack anyone whose shown them up as the b/s ers they are.
Don't expect any plaudits therefore from the likes of Lineker - if Cardiff win the Premiership he'll say they cheated or something, but more immediately don't believe the prediction of doom from self appointed experts about this coming season because this is just more of the same. In fact we're going to do okay and when we do it'd be nice if some of those here who are believing we're doomed changed their attitudes and started intending to succeed instead of worrying about failing .

I’m on like £13,000 a year.

Is £19,000 pennies to all of you? :(

I feel poor now

Re: Cardiff City have the poorest fans That’s according to

I think some posters on here are earning a lot more than your average joe blog in South Wales based on some of the comments. 19k is probably not far of the average personal income in South Wales. I'm in a skilled job in manufacturing and don't earn much more than 19K.

How much do you think your average shelf stacker in Asda or Tesco gets? I doubt it comes close to 19k

Re: Cardiff City have the poorest fans That’s according to

Thu Aug 02, 2018 2:36 pm

I know plenty of people who would love to be on 19k a year. That is why I have said on this forum plenty of times that football has priced a lot of fans out of the game. If you are on minimum wage or somewhere close to that, and have children, paying bills and eating can easily be a struggle in itself, and attending a football match would be a luxury. I think a lot of people would be surprised at the number of people earning well under 15k a year.

f*cking hell £19,000 a year sounds good to me with my £5000 a year

Re: Cardiff City have the poorest fans That’s according to

Thu Aug 02, 2018 3:03 pm

19k a year is worth a lot more in South Wales than 25k would be worth in london. This study has no context, and doesn't take into account the ages of fans, with those over 60 and those under 25 traditionally earning less.

Mate, don't worry about it.

It's the fact that this rag THINKS that it's the sort of survey that people need to know about.

It's an attempt to divide and belittle when in fact it's just typical bravado crap for the cock measuring brigade.

I earn less than £19k!

Re: Cardiff City have the poorest fans That’s according to

19k where you can buy a 3 bed house for 100k

Or 25k where you can buy a 3 bed house for over 400k

Surely the person on 19k will be "richer"

Some ignorant comments on here, South Wales has always been a low paid area.

Lots of people are on minimum wage, people working in our call centers are on about 16 k if they are lucky.

Most of the administration staff where I work at the moment are on 16/17 k tops and that is generous.

19k average is probably about right.

Maybe it is - maybe it isn’t but..... it has to be put into context. How much does it cost to live in a particular area, housing etc. There are accurate national figures for these and they must be considered together with this income guesstimate to come anywhere near an accurate figure.

But really - who gives a sh*t. It’s quality and loyalty not income that Is really relevant - and Cardiff fans will top that list :bluescarf:

Of course it does I agree, its a pointless story really, I was just responding to those who think just cos they earn a decent wage it must be bollocks.

There are a lot of people struggling and earning low wages in South Wales more than those that are doing well.

I have been at both ends of the scale.
