Now being in Australia you dont hear much of the premier league but ive seen that German Max Meyer is going to be signing on a Free to Crystal Palace...... (i know its reported by the Sun)

Any idea why we wouldn't want a young hungry midfielder for free?????? Would wages of been too high?

Roy Hodgson is set to pull off one of the deals of the summer after 22-year-old German international midfielder Max Meyer passed a Crystal Palace medical.

According to The Sun, the four-times-capped German international is now set to complete personal terms before signing from Schalke on a free transfer.

Meyer has long been touted as a target of some of Europe’s biggest clubs after making his first team debut at the Bundesliga giants aged just 18.

The likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and AC Milan have all been linked with interest for the midfielder, but it looks as though Palace will seal a bargain free transfer for the young German star.

Well Arsenal had a massive problem offering him a big wage.

Apparently he turned down 80k a week to play for Arsenal.

I think Palace have shot themselves in the foot if it’s true that’s hes on 170k a week. He’s supposed to be a right f*cking asshole I can’t see him ready for a relegation scrap. Could work out in our favour
