15 - 20 goals. Really ?

I have read on here more than once recently that we need a player that can get us 15-20 goals this season.

It really makes me wonder sometimes who fans think we are and what we are worth, 15-20 goals in the premier league is gold dust, last season only 4 players scored 20 or more premier league goals, Salah, Kane, Aguero and Vardy, do people really think we can afford to even look at these players ? Plus only 3 others scored 15 or more, Stirling, Lukaku and Firminio.

If we have a striker that gets us double figures then that will be a good result, whether that’s Ken or AN Other, and the wingers chipping in along side Reid in the 10 role plus more from set plays then we should be ok

But please those thinking we should go out and get a proven 15-20 goal scorer, sorry but your dreaming. Unless Ken can surprise everyone and have one hell of a season like he finished the season before last, which wouldn’t have cost us anything as he’s already here.

Totally agree with the OP. I don't think people actually look at the stats. Whilst stats can be totally misleading e.g. possession, I don't think anybody can argue with goals scored stats.

I don't think we had a player who hit double figures last season and we were promoted. Any striker who can get 10+ is easily worth £1m per goal in my book.

to give more clarity on this, probably the best striker at Swansea in their premier league existence Michu, he managed 20 goals in......3 seasons.

Spot on. If he signs, Deeney is a handful and I think Warnock would get the best out of him. The way people talk on here it's as if we are going to spend 30m+ on a striker!

spot on mate, i see people on twitter slating deeney as if we can and should be doing better, the same people are moaning we need to be spending, theres no pleasing some people, and it amazes me how many football geniuses we have in our fan base, all so quick to point out where we need to strngthen and who is and isnt good enough. if we can get deeney and he can get double figure along with goals from other areas in the team we have a great chance of staying up
