Burnley in for crouch £500,000 thought he would have been good for just a cover player for us know's where the net is experienced worth it for a season put a cross in and he usually puts it away without even jumping.

I would see Crouch as a potential

due to our finances and structure- his low fee and wage combined may prove suitable

Think he would have been a good signing for us a cover for a year will always score a decent number of goals if given minutes.

He’s not going to be on a low wage

Worth considering. More likely to get us the 7 or 8 goals that could be crucial to us staying up than Madine.

LLAN BLUE . whats his wage going to be then ?

Would say he's on no more than 50k a week at Stoke and if he has a chance to play prem football again recon he would take 30k

I don’t know exactly as I’m not him his mrs or his agent.

But a former England international and a Premier League regular for the last 10+ years won’t be on anything under 30k a week.

I am not saying this is gospel but apparently he is on £40k a week basic at Stoke and his contract runs until next May.

I would imagine he has bonuses written into that as well, appearance and goal.

He's 38 in January, I don't think he's for us to be honest, not at what he would cost. You might be able to get him for a nominal fee but if we are not paying high wages then its a non starter surely?

Cant imagine him taking a pay cut and surely the whole ethos of the Club at the moment is keeping a balance and harmony, cant imagine it going down well with the other players if we bring in an almost 38 year old on a higher wage than the rest of the squad.

LLAN BLUE i asked you what wage he would be on because quizzed EDDIEP you said he would not be on a low wage and you been the font of all knowledge i thought you had some inside info on his wage rather than just a guess.

Well I did answer you.

It was more of an educated guess and a little bit of common sense.

A player who’s been in the premier league for 10+ years and is a former England international isn’t going to be on peanuts.

What’s your issue you don’t agree?

Your just looking for an argument?

Nearly 38, lanky streak of piss, way past his best, we can do better.

i think those suggesting this think it would be a small outlay
