Just on the way back from Burton, Zohore and Reid will get us the goals this season, they were on fire today. I would get rid of Madine as he’s a cart horse. Strong team out which I believe will be near enough our starting team to beat Bournemouth.

I'm with you. Zohore will get us goals no matter what that's what he does, and with NML Reid Murphy and junior we will be fine.
Madine will slow us right up so he has to go.

Definitely another striker for me but we can forget about an experienced Premier striker. We are going to have to put faith in Zohore and Reid breaking through. Last season I had hope in Bogle overtaking Zohore and becoming that Premier guy we need. Disappointed its gone the way it has for him and I've no idea why that happened.

99% agree with this post; the other 1% is I would be delighted if we could bag Mitrovic Ken will surprise many in the Premier this season I think; some very intelligent play from him today. As for Madine, the less said the better.

If madine isn’t up to the challenge, which is what most people seem to think on here, then we definitely need another striker.

I said last season that Madin e looked too slow. It is highly unlikely that he will be a success in the prem.
What other Pre m team would be interested if we were to offer him for sale? Answer: Not one. What about at Championship level? Answer: Not many. For me that says it all.

However, I would be happier having Bogle on the bench in the Pre m than Madine. That won't happen as NW wants rid of Bogl e for some reason.

We need another striker IN PLACE OF Madine.I would like to sell Madin e and get some of the money we spent back and add these funds (and those from Tomlin) to NW funds. E.g. Maybe 14 mill instead of 10 available. I'd then get a quality purchase and a quality loan before the season starts.personally I'd like to see Tammy Abrahams and a classy midfielder .

Yes we do need strength in depth. I don't think Madin e represents strength in depth. As I said how many Pre m clubs would be interested in buying him

Are we talking about the same zohore that got 4 goals last season. He wont make the grade imo we cant keep relying on him for goals he had 1 good spell the season before last.i dont think mendez laing will cut it in Prem. We need another 4 signings imo right back 2 midfielders and a striker.

You can never have too many strikers. Need a small quick striker I.e. Earnshaw type player. Someone like Gayle or Nakhi Wells.

Many fans complain about a lack of plan B, but I personally believe that Madine offers that. He’s a different type of player to Zohore in that he’s not quick, but his hold up play (especially on his chest) is second to none at our club.

He does the basics well and allows the wingers, an area where we are particularly strong, to play off him and score goals. I get why people are frustrated by him, but there’s more than one way to skin a cat as the saying goes. I’m guessing Warnock realises this approach may be required in certain periods of games and that we don’t have £20 million plus to replace our back up striker.

Good post! I would like Bogle on the bench too. I was hoping some of these friendlies might be opportunities to put Madine in the shop window but it's not going to happen.

Say we are 1-0 down with 10 mins to go. We are looking for long throws and set pieces to grab an equailizer. He's a good option to have

Trouble is you could say the same argument for most of our squad not just Madine, how many other PL sides would want them?

He will hopefully get a few for us this season. Like some have already said, he will always score, but may need to improve on his 4 goals a year stats if we are to stay up.

Not a good record when you look at it like that. Reid looks like a goal scorer but if he gets injured we are fukt, Madine can’t score in a brothel, there must be someone aboard we could sign.
