Always comes across as a decent bloke on TV and talking to people who know him they always speak well of him.
Love a bit of Welsh sporting success no matter what sport! Well done G!
Don't think he supports City, anyone know?

Although, he follows Cardiff city Twitter account so maybe he does?! Could've at least done an Ayatollah over the line, maybe he's saving that for tomorrow in Paris?!!

Not forgetting G's Cardiff and Sky team-mate Luke Rowe who after today's stage is 130th and 3H 50' 31'' behind Thomas.
It could be Rowe's best finish of Le Tour after 136th in 2015, 151st in 2016 and in 2017 167th and last which won Luke the Lanterne Rouge... for being the last finisher.

I was going to start a thread on this at the start of this week of how close Geraint Thomas was to making history.
All we need now is for GT to stay on his bike and enjoy the ride home
This guy has worked hard over the years and played 2nd - 3rd fiddle to Wiggins and Froome ( both winners ).
Back home it's been all about Bale and Wharburton, but now Whitchurch High have another lad to be proud of .
Enjoy your day Geriant ..... It's Coming Home

This should make most of the back pages of tomorrows press - if not the front page ( local ).
So happy for the lad who has spent years working hard for this fantastic day for himself.
