Bradford City: Goalkeeper Ben Wilson joins League One club

Bradford City have signed former Cardiff City goalkeeper Ben Wilson on an undisclosed-length contract.

Wilson, 25, was released by the Bluebirds last season after loan spells with both Oldham Athletic and Telford.

"I cannot wait to get started and am really looking forward to the season ahead," Wilson said.

After starting at Sunderland, Wilson has also had loan spells at Rochdale, AFC Wimbledon, Chesterfield and Accrington in recent seasons.

BRADFORD CITY have signed former Cardiff goalkeeper Ben Wilson.

The 25-year-old is likely to be involved in this afternoon's final friendly at Carlisle.

Wilson came through the youth ranks at Sunderland and has had loan spells at Wimbledon, Rochdale and Oldham among others. He knows Richard O'Donnell from their time together with Chesterfield.

Thankfully for Ben he seems to have learned not to slag off supporters too much anymore...

Cardiff goalkeeper Ben Wilson branded AFC Wimbledon's supporters "c****" before his loan spell at Kingsmeadow came to an end.

He joined Wimbledon from Cardiff in October on an emergency loan deal following an injury to James Shea.
After eight appearances for the Dons he was sent back to his parent club on Monday - a day after he furiously responded to abuse handed out to him by supporters on Twitter.

Replying to his detractors on social media, he wrote: "you're still paying to watch every week and helping towards my wage, I'm laughing and you're losing out".

A Dons fan responded by saying: "I'm glad you think its funny, the teams already got enough c**** who don't care".
Wilson hit back, writing: "got enough of them as supporters like you also".

The club confirmed Wilson's return to Cardiff on their website, with manager Neal Ardley saying: ā€œI’d like to thank Ben for his commitment while he was here and wish him all the best in his future career.ā€
