Just heard that we have to arrive no later than an hour before the match. With the stadium car park closing half hour before kick off.
Do you think they'll try and stick to this system, I think it'll be chaos.
It's OK if you've got the day off and can get down the City nice and early. What if you're coming straight from work or a long distance.

What was the time last season?
It makes sense, you cant have cars driving all over the place while 30,000 people are walking about.

Makes sense.
I drive up from Kent and most the time last season I got there with at least an hour to spare. The one time I got stuck in traffic and was late, got there about 25 mins before kick off and was still open but there weren't many cars trying to get in by then to be fair.

I've never used the car park before so thanks for the replies. It does make sense when you think about larger crowds.

Don’t worry about getting in,getting out is the problem!

Sounds like scare tactics to me. Try and get as many in early.

My car park permit came this morning. The letter just says that it is 'advisable' to get there 'no later than 60 minutes prior to the advertised kick off'. It's always been the case that we can't be guranteed admission later than thirty minutes before kick off. This season they say that they are closing it half an hour before kick off, following discussions with South Wales Police. Sounds sensible enough to me, in view of the bigger crowds, cars arriving and people walking about, (many of whom won't be that familiar with the lay out!).
Previously my permit has been for block A only, this year it's for block A or B.
I'm happy enough.

Wonder if Asda will put signs back up.
Fri Jul 27, 2018 5:50 pm
Asda will no doubt be employing parking eye or similar.
To be fair it will be chaos otherwise.
With the expected 30k per game best of luck getting off the leckwith bypass with 30mins to kick off

i complained to the club logistics manager regarding two double decker busses showing up shortly after full time and parking on the exit road near kfc therefor reducing exit from two lanes to one and was told it would be sorted in close season.really made a bad situation worse.

The question is do you have a season ticket for the stadium car park?
Last time I heard, they were sold out every season and 'parking on the day' was not an option
That may have changed but I don't use it (I can afford the fee but I can't afford the two hours getting out of the place

) so check before you just roll up; parking elsewhere around the stadium is not the best anyway!
Hope that helps
