I really, genuinely hoped that our fans would stick by us no matter what this season.
Two friendlies - bloody friendlies - without a win, and already some are getting on our players' and some even Warnock's back.
I know it's just the minority but it's just so frustrating to read.
There are going to be times this season when we lose 3, 4, maybe 5 games in a row. Can you imagine what it's going to be like?
Get behind the team, for ***** sake.
Of course I want us to stay up. And I genuinely believe we will. But it will be a hell of a lot easier if we stay behind the team!! And if we go down, we go down, we will be in a 1000x better position as a club than when Warnock took over. And not just on the pitch.
Whoever the scapegoat is every time we lose... Ralls, Zohore, Gunnarsson, Madine, Bamba... just remember these players got us where we our today because they're good enough, and deserve the chance to keep us up. New signings don't guarantee success!!
Wolves are about to sell their left-back, one of their best players last season who bust a gut to get them where they are today, and replace him with an untried youngster on loan from Spain. Would we honestly prefer to do it that way? Or stick with the Joe Bennetts and keep the obvious team spirit we have.
We don't have the money or the contacts that the likes of Wolves have, but our team spirit and togetherness is going to be our unique thing that gives us a chance this season. The fans need to play their part in that too.
Rant over. Warnock works best when he's the underdog, just remember that.

Personally I will never slag the team or individual players off as long a they are giving their all. All I ever ask is 100% effort and commitment and let's see where it takes us. The strength of our team spirit should not be underestimated and will go a long way in trying to help us survive.
I've stated before that I would give Warnock the full season no matter what and I firmly believe that if the fans stick together through inevitable bad spells the 12th man effect could be massive.
Let's stay positive and enjoy the season ahead, we deserve it.

Some of the comments after losing a preseason game though make us as a club look pathetic
