Plenty of time yet. Not sure why people are panicking?

We have a good championship team for next season and cash in the bank have to been happy with that I suppose. Just enjoy watching the worlds top players for a season.

Well I make it a little over 2 weeks with a friendly in there two. We could be starting our first game with madine leading the line FFS.

Anyone who has played the game knows these training sessions are important for building towards match fitness while trying not to get yourself injured. The results are not, and never have been important.

Our strikers should be hitting the net against this opposition though, they will have less chances against the prem teams imo and we need them firing on all cylinders and with some form of hunger to score in a fortnight they will be playing in the best league in the world , "where is that rohdon" sign him ffs and lets give it a good go with a proven striker in the prem.

You see to have all the answers; albeit negative. I'm surprised Mr Tan hasn't offered you Neil Warnock's job!

Bet Brighton fans were saying all sorts last season when they realized Glen Murray would be spearheading their attack, that didn't turn out too badly for them, people run Madine down but I think there are goals in the guy.

LLAN BLUE i know rotherham are in the championship ffs but they where in league 1 last season they are not a big champuonship side they won in the play off with shrewsbury but if your saying we are prem they are championship so not much between us, westham prem aston villa championship result 3 1 to the prem team most prem teams would expect to beat championship team in a friendly unless its in a cup contest i am just saying that we need a proven finisher in the box at a higher level we are going to be playing in 2 weeks time in the best league in the world and winning games breeds confidence so drawing with Torquay loosing to rotherham does not build confidence and a winning mentality but thats just my opinion and as regards the transfer window still open you need players to bed in hence a bit of urgency with grujic a target of palace etc

breeds confidence...this was Tottenhams 8 GAME pre season in order of play in the 2008/09 season..lots of goals ,lots of confidence bred..?
pre season
Tavernes ..W..8-0
CD Denia...W..4-2
Hercules....d...1-1
Norwich.....W...5-1
Leyton Orient...W..5-1
Glasgow Celtic..W..2-0
Borussia Dortmund..W..3-0
Roma.................W...5.0

THEN THE LEAGUE STARTED ..and in the first 8 league games they failed to beat any of..Boro, Sunderland, Chelsea,Villa, Wigan, Pompey..Hull or Stoke....had 2pts and were bottom...

It's nice to get a few goals, but everyone knows warm up games are when you experiment a bit, give all your players, even the ones who are not likely to feature much, a run out and help everyone get fit. I only played at welsh league level, and it was'nt uncommon for our second team to beat us in warm up games. Meant zilch when it came to real games, and we sometimes slaughtered sides who had beaten us, or run us close in these friendlies. We once drew with Hereford in a pre-season knock about, but we were'nt naive enough to think that was any big deal. In all probability, they would have stuck at least 7 or 8 on us, maybe more, in a competitive game.
