Pro’s are he knows the manager, knows the team and seemed to enjoy his time with us. Cons we are seen as a club who play an old fashioned style of football under an old fashioned manager. Doing well at a more fashionable club may increase his value for a sale next season. Other concern Liverpool might have is will he get game time knowing he wasn’t towards the end of the season. Would Warnock change from Gunner and Ralls.
For me though it needs to be resolved asap, I like Grujic but I don’t think he is a world beater that we need to be waiting and waiting around for.

agree with lots of this until i get to the hanging around bit..yes be nice to get players in and settled but most loan signings are done late in the window as clubs get a better idea of who they might or might not need..good example of this was Bryson last year who we only got because of an eleventh hour in coming transfer at Derby { so late it didnt happen }..

Being an eternal optimist where things Cardiff City are concerned ,I hate doing this but I simply cannot stay silent any longer waiting for a couple of previously unknown of NW diamonds to come out of the woodwork. When I look at the squads other clubs already have and are currently spending to build compared to us; I can't help worry where are the three teams likely to finish below us this coming season? Something needs to be done and quickly. There have been some decent players available for £6-10M over the last few weeks - 2 or 3 of which could keep us up but they end up going elsewhere - why are we dallying over relatively affordable talent - did we learn nothing from our last dalliance with the EPL other than don't let the manager have a decent budget to keep us up because he will shaft the owner - hasn't Vincent Tan yet learned that NW is a trustworthy and honourable man who will not throw money at falsely overpriced players?
I know we were promoted last season on a relative shoestring and finished above a couple of teams with bigger budgets and spends but let's not be delusional here - every other EPL club so far have more expensive/proven premier quality squads, bigger budgets and are spending (far) more than we are on new players.
What's happened to the £100m we were getting from promotion - is it a coincidence that if you add together what Vincent Tan has recently written off our debt and NW's budget that they come pretty close to that figure?
I have a lot of confidence in NW but he can't walk on water!! Unless there is a pot of money yet to come to light to spend on 2 or 3 decent players (as opposed to the Grujic's and Brysons of this world) then there is only one place we are going and the "wait until Christmas" brigade down the road will have a field day.
