Lazio 'still in for Grujic'



Cardiff’s pursuit of Marko Grujic has yielded precious little progress recently, although boss Neil Warnock remains hopeful that a deal can be done.

However, Cardiff appear to be just one admirer of the Serbian, with Serie A giants Lazio still believed to be interested in doing a deal - a permanent one.

But the Liverpool Echo claims they would need to pay around £20 million in order to prise him away from Merseyside, with the Reds themselves believed to prefer another loan move, and another loan to Cardiff has seemingly already been agreed in principle.

That would perhaps mean that Cardiff remain in the driving seat for his signature. Perhaps...

Conflicting stories about Grujic and I’m getting sick of it! Liverpool wanting 20mill, player wanting bigger wages, etc, etc.
I hope we can drop it now and move on to other targets.

I know transfer prices have gone crazy but I just don't see him going for 20m, maybe if he came to us and had a decent season then they might get 20m.

He has hardly ever played for Liverpool, was ok for us but nothing that special in the championship £20 million is a joke he should not be worth the £7 million Liverpool paid for him. Also he did not play a single minute for Serbia in the World Cup and they were not that good.

20m....no way. Youth/promising for sure, but unproven at any level (not even one season in Champ). Sounds bollocks to me. £5-8m in the current over inflated climate is about right . He’s 22.....nows the time he must get established and become a starter, until then just a promising rookie. Critical age this for a pro.

Ryan Woods from Brentford as a few people have mentioned would be a good choice. Would probably cost between 7 and 10 million though. Brilliant passer of the ball.

not that bothered either way..but he is in the USA with Liverpool
