Against the Games ethics or genius?

Mon Jul 23, 2018 5:56 pm

It's revealed that Pickford had a water bottle with every opposition player on that detailed their preference when taking a penalty.

When he saw what player was walking up he'd grab his water bottle and see the notes for that particular player.

Now I think it's genius and if it's not breaking any rules so be it but some think it's not sporting and goes against the Games ethics.

The argument being you can't take notes into an exam.

He broke no rules but will the rules Now change.

If other keepers aren't doing the same then more fool them.

In other news they're allowing greater technology in the dugout from next year, iPads, etc... so there will be much easier access to stats like this. I can't see NW running about with one though!!! Can you?! Hahaha

keepers have studied potential penalty kick takers for years..Pickford having to keep notes really dont make him a genius.its the opposite.

Good planning by Pickford. Nothing wrong with it.

Keepers doing for years.i am sure in one of the playoff finals a keeper had an iPad with him for penalty shot outs that had all the opposition penalty data on it
