On the other message board someone just said in reference to Gary Madine..."we need footballers not workhorses"...well thats our season over with then!
It still amazes me (all though it should no longer) that we have fans who cant grasp the fact that Warnock only signs players who will put a shift in on the pitch,,,anyone who falls short of his expectation can expect to be dropped or shipped out.
It also amazes me that to get a so called footballer rather than a workhorse ,particularly in this league it will cost £20m+ at least, a budget we dont have.
It is also true that the likes of Huddersfield, Brighton, Burnley, Palace,Bournmouth all stayed up with teams that had plenty of workhorses in the line ups.
Madine is a good player in my eyes at the moment much prefered him to Zahore last season, given he had little starting opportunities but city fans yet again make judgements on players without giving those players a chance in the team.

I think when Madine played he was trying to hard and with each passing game he lost a bit of confidence. He does more in 90 minutes than Zohore but Zohore has more of a impact.
As for Madine i think he more suited to the championship and it would be best for his career if he moved on either on loan or permanent.

We do have players who work hard but are also quality players, i.e.
Hoilett
Ralls
Murphy
Reid
Bennett
Bamba
Morrison
I'd exclude Zohore and Tomlin as players who particularly work hard but they're both quality footballers. It's not true NW only likes workhorses, he likes quality too if he can afford it; and there's no doubt you need a fair amount of quality to compete in the Premier. Being just a workhorse will lead you to the knacker's yard.

I don't think we've seen the best of Madine yet so I would definitely give him a chance.
Although he didn't light up the team last season he never failed to put in a good shift and it's not always about scotring goals........although it does help confidence for a striker.

We need a striker who we can rely on for scoring goals. Madine and Zohore dont fall into that category so we will need to secure a signing before the window shuts.
Personally i would send Madine out on a season loan then secure Hernandez from Hull on a free and Ings on a season loan. Both got PL experience and can provide us with goals

amazes me too mate..lots of teams tried to pass their way around us or through us and failed but its as if we won promtion not because our players and coaching staff worked so hard at stopping that happening.but because some gypsey had put a good luck spell on us
