How do you know he will be injury prone next season?
How can you say his best years are behind him - he is hardly ancient!
He was as good as any of our other players when we were in the premier league and has now more experience.
You can't have all young hungery players - you need to balance those with experience.
If Neil Warnock wants to reward him with a new contract that's good enough for me! I know there were loads of key moments last season - but one of them was his winner against Notts Forest - he was absolutely immense that day and in a season of fine margins it mattered.

Can see most of your points except the best years behind him, name a player that's improved after the age of 29? That's not knocking gunnars but it's clear his best years performance and ability wise are behind him so it is a legit argument.

let's hope Vardy's best years are behind him and that he won't score against us at the ripe old age of 31.

Well you've proven my point there so thanks, Vardy was 28 when he won the premiership and player of the year, he's never replicated that form and his value has dropped a few million since.

Yes, it was a poor show last season. Three players scored more goals than him in the PL, and he only ended up with 20 goals all season. Obviously was way over the top.

Not once did I say a poor show.
Your really struggling with my point aren't you.
Vardy isn't the player he was it 28, he hasn't improved past that level he was it when they won the league.
His value has decreased.
My original point was show me a player who improves after 29 you haven't shown me one.
But hey keep twisting it to me knocking carry.

Well in that case it was only a year ago he was our player of the season!! Voted by the fans!! Just in case that doesn't make sense to you that means in a team which included, Bamba, Ralls, Morrison, Hoillet etc. he was voted the best!! He didn't have any serious injuries that season and played most of the games!!
It's not 7 years your judging him on it's 5 games after he came back from a long term injury, which he rushed back to help us!! I hope he doesn't read this board and if he does I hope he appreciates the sheer comedy value of some of the comments!!

Is he injury prone?
Having one quite major injury doesn’t make someone injury prone.
Best years not behind him he’s still the right side of 30
I know you don’t like him luke, and to be honest either way I’ll be happy when we all don’t have to talk about him anymore but as mentioned previously I want him to stay

No its 7 years your assumptions are incorrect, infact my my opinion on him has barely changed over the last few years, if you care that much you can search my posts![]()
.
Just a reminder that season we finished midtable in the championship, we are now planning on building a squad capable of staying in the premiership, the difference is huge.

I think you've just backed up my argument that some of our fans have personal dislikes against him. It must have really annoyed you when he did win player of the year and scored that goal against Forest!!! I bet you didn't quite cheer as load as everyone else around you when the ball hit the net!! It is so hilarious being a fellow city fan and seeing some people rip into Whits because he wouldn't get stuck in and tackle, even though he had brilliant natural ability. Then you see some people rip into Gunner for apparently not having Whits ability but is a brilliant leader good in the tackle etc. Don't people realise we are Cardiff City and not Man City. If Gunner could pass the ball like Pirlo, had the pace of Bale and a shot like Ronaldo, do you think he would be playing at the CCS giving his all for the bluebirds!!!
One last thing, if you're going to belittle someone's achievement of wining an award for our club, then please at least get your facts straight. If you only took the points from when Warnock took over that season we would have made the play offs.
You're right we did finish mid-table but we were 10 points from safety when Warnock took over. To finish so comfortable was a minor miracle and the driving force behind that season was Bamba, Harris, Zohore and mainly Gunner. Before you talk a load of Trollope and blame Gunner for the poor start to that season, I think we all know where the blame lies!!
