Worried

Can't help thinking we are going into the prem with a championship side?
We need some experience and at the moment we have none.

Who do you want, Rooney? Joe Ledley? Steven Caulker?

If you want some more Gary Medel signings mate I can tell you now that isn’t and shouldn’t happen what with our squad on roughly 15-25k a week each, and Medel would be closer to 100k not to mention a likely transfer fee of around 25-30m which we should not spend on a single player atleast in our first season. We need to build a superb championship side who can just about scrape survival and if not we won’t be in trouble with the efl in he championship next season. We are here to stay, and spending between 60-80m isn’t going to attract anyone useful to Warnock. We are looking for fighters and strong characters to keep us in the prem with all the mind games going on. We don’t need players who have played in the Prem who are used to playing with good players who will likely eventually bring down our morale because they will be frustrated with the players not being the quality they want to play with. Warnock is doing the perfect thing and the only thing we can do to remain safe. Look at our squad last time in the prem, absolute expensive shit houses that people were over the moon with when we signed them... we finished last. Why the f**k do you want to do that again you moron. No offence. Ir offence, however you wanna take it.

Would have been happier if we had brought in a mix of young hungry players which we have done and a bit of Premier League experience. As with everything in life you cannot beat having some experience.

The Premiership is a huge step up from the Championship. May be able to compete with 6-8 teams but the others are more or less untouchable unless they have an off day or we have a bit of luck.

There is time yet where City may bring in a couple of experienced PL players on loan. Presumably City after stayed away from PL up until now due to wages. Would have liked to have seen a PL keeper come in (Fabianski, Foster, Robles, etc) and PL striker (Rondon, Hernandez, Niasse, etc).

Still believe that we need a quality creative midfielder and a defensive enforcer if Grujic doesn’t come back on loan. Right back weakest part of our defence.

Grujic has only warmed the bench in the prem so as far as experience no I would not want him tbh.

I agree but it looks like that he is set to return. Ideally I would like someone like Diame at Newcastle as our defensive ‘enforcer’ and a quality creative midfielder (e.g. the midfielder from the Turkish club).

not worried at all we have signed young hungry players yet to come into their prime, i think he has got it spot on, build a team too good for the championship with players that are untested in the prem and see where it takes us,we could shock a few, all this got to get premier experience stuff, on our budget we would only be getting shit anyway, much better to take a gamble on players that could well triple their value in a few months
if we are bottom at xmas with 2 points i would like to retract the above statement

Teams have gone into premiership with mainly of lower league players Bournemouth did! besides nearly all teams promoted have large proportion of players who've never played in premiership so we ar no different

I’m not worried to be honest. A few of the players we’ve signed have had a taste of the Prem and are young and hungry for it again. You look at Burnley, Watford, Huddersfield and Bournemouth- they didn’t buy their stay in the Prem, they cultivated the players they had to solidify their position. They only worry for me is the apparent holes in the current squad. RB and CM, if those are sorted I say we can expect a really good battle this season. Warnock and Tan are not stupid, I think we all need to pinch ourselves a bit - we punched our way into the Premiership a lot earlier than we expected. I am so happy that I was completely wrong on the budget speculation (I thought 20 mil tops), I think people should finally lay to rest the “Tan wants out, going to sell the club BS” he’s backed Warnock as much as he can this summer, even after Tomlin and Madine failed to come to fruition last season.
Buzzing for the new season, wish I could have flown home to pick up my new shirt in person!

Why you worried if we go down we go down simple, better to go down with the books balanced, what makes you think buying prem players guarantees success? Bcoz it don’t, team spirit and coaching will decide wether we stay up or not.

Because they haven't got premier league experience don't mean they won't flourish in the Premier league. Think of big teams bringing foreign players for big fees they can afford to take a gamble as for us we need to stick with what we know and that's having player with the die hard attitude and determination to do well rather than any big time Charlie who think they are bigger than the squad. We got a good dressing room and we don't want disrupt that, every player gunna want to fight for place which will only improve us. I feel we are doing it right this time round and I'm really optimistic. I think we are gunna surprise alot of people, we punch above our weight last season so why not do it again. I'm predicting a 14th place.

Agree with the above. We do not have the finances of Man C, we are not Barcelona so not every available player is desperate to move here, and the future of this club stretches a bit further than the 2018/19 season. :bluescarf:
