The Bluebirds are long-term admirers of Windass jnr and are looking to land the forward this summer.
According to reports, the Premier League newboys are preparing a £3m bid to test Rangers ' resolve.
Now Windass snr, the former Aberdeen and Hull icon, has revealed on social media that WOULD be enough to trigger the buy-out clause in his son's contract.
Responding to one Rangers fan who suggested the Ibrox side had raised the £3m clause when the player signed a new deal, Dean replied "no".
However the elder Windass also poured doubt on the Express story of Cardiff's £3m bid, claiming his son would have told him if it was true.

The topic I've posted is based on a Twitter interaction today between a Rangers fan and Dean Windass. The point made by Wez is that previously Dean Windass apparently said that his son is joining Cardiff.
