Who we playing in midfield all season Paterson Ralls and Demour

At least 2 central midfielders, ideally 3 for me.

Attempt to resign Grujic on a season loan

Attempt to sign Abel Hernandez on a free

Look to use our good relationship with Liverpool FC and try and sign Harry Wilson on loan. Able to player either behind the striker or winger. Could be useful squad player.

Personally i would like to see us sign either Finnborgson as elite competition for Zohore or put a cheeky bid in for Danny Ings. Both are unlikely.

If we pull something like this off with our current signings and recent potential signings then i would consider it a pretty successful transfer window.

Reid is more of a front man NML type player I believe.
Won't be playing no midfield unless its as a winger which is really a forward...

Reid was converted to a forward last summer and played all last season in that position. Before that he was an attacking mid.

Tomlin is often described as a midfielder - although very likely to go out on loan again - but Warnock and the club definitely see him as a forward (see the First Team pages on the website).

I think we need 2 more midfielders even if Gunnar signs. Whether we go for another striker will probably depend on Warnock's real view of Madine. What he says in public may not be his real opinion. He is a football politician - been playing the media, fans and players for so long it's second nature.

One experienced and two with potential .

With the imminent signings of Smithies and Reid that pushes the money spent up to nearly £30m.
NW has said he needs CMF and a Striker, can't see him spending a lot more, so got a sneaking suspicion that a couple of "free" transfers are lined up.
Players contracts run out at end of June, so would expect some activity beginning of July.
Hernandez is the one that springs to mind on a "free"
Jury still out on his ability at Premier League level, so he might fancy another crack at it.
Would be a good signing if it comes off, as long as a relegation clause for wages is included.
