Expectations

Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:10 am

Im so excited for the new season to kick off (only about 44 days to go)

With that said i sat down and thought to myself what do i expect from NW and the players this season.

Neil Warnock

Sign 2 centre midfielders ideally an attacking creative midfielder that has some pace.

Secure loan signing of Snodgrass

Sign backup gk or someone who will challenge Etheridge.

Secure Abel Hernandez signing as well as another striker i.e either with premiership experience or someone who has a decent goalscoring record.

Continue to work on securing the clubs future by working and developing young talent. Could we not of thrown our under 23's into the Checkatrade cup? Or maybe use some of our more talented youngsters in Carabao cup?

Players

Its going to be a difficult season ahead but if they show the same passion and desire from last season i would be happy.

Play with no fear. Everyone apart from yhe City fans expects us to go down but instead of accepting that the players should use that as motivate themselves to defy the odds once again. If we go a goal down then believe we can get a goal back.Fight and die for each other is all we expect from the players.

Fans

Simple... keep supporting the team through thick and thin. Make the CCS an intimidating fortress at home and let our voices be heard when travelling away.

Conclusion:

Expected finish: 16th - 17th
The key is to stay up of course and so far with the signings NW has made im confident this will happen. The key i suppose is for NW to set the squad mini targets i.e after 10 games he wants 15pts, by Christmas NW wants no less than 27pts and finally the last 6 games NW should be aiming to have at least 35pts.

I think that's about it, its all about staying up, we were never going to outspend the others so we have gone a different route. It may not be pretty but I bet we will give it a good go.

Agreed, we have taken a similar approach to Burnley the first time and building long term which most fans will be happy with it.
I was fairly pessimistic when we first went up, but am starting to feel like our team spirit and with some good backing from us, we can just about stay up :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think our defence will be critical again. I think we'll finish 12th.

just a tiny bit more optimistic and you can get 16/1 for a top half finish.
