Cardiff forward Junior Hoilett has committed himself to the Premier League new boys for another three years.

Hoilett, who has scored 13 goals in 83 appearances since leaving QPR in 2016, had been out of contract after helping Cardiff win promotion from the Sky Bet Championship last season.

'It feels amazing to finally sign the new deal,' Hoilett told the official Cardiff website.

'It was always going to happen though. I want to continue my career here and never wanted to go anywhere else.

'I want to go on and achieve more things in the Premier League with a great group of lads.'

The 28-year-old Canada international began his career at Blackburn before moving to QPR in the summer of 2012.

Hoilett topped the Cardiff scoring charts last season with 11 goals in 50 league and cup games and will now remain in south Wales until the summer of 2021.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock said: 'Junior had a fantastic season for us last year and I think his new contract is just rewards for that.

'I think he's looking forward to the challenge next season and I'm sure he'll play a major role in helping us try to stay in the Premier League.'
