According to a report from Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Cardiff City are interested in signing Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan, and are preparing a €10 million (£8.8 million) bid for the German.
The 27-year-old joined Besiktas from Hamburg in January 2015, and he has since gone on to make 116 appearances in all competitions for the Super Lig outfit.
He is still under contract with the Turkish club until the summer of 2022, but that doesn't mean that he is unavailable.
Turkish media outlet Fanatik claim that Neil Warnock is a big fan of Arslan, and he could bring him to Cardiff for somewhere in the region of £8.8 million this summer.
Good signing for the Bluebirds?
The former Germany under-21 international is a classy operator.
He possesses superb technical ability and a wonderful range of passing - two attributes that enable him to dictate the tempo of the game from the middle of the park.
In today's day and age, £8.8 million for a player of Arslan's quality would represent excellent value for Cardiff, and it should be a transfer that the Welsh outfit do not hesitate to complete this summer.
