I think your'e over egging it a bit.Director doesn't make payment on behalf of club,gets suspended for his trouble,club has a week to pay.They are hardly in the position we were some yeas ago.

The question is why didn't he pay it? it's not as if he didn't know when it should be payed by?

If not in trouble why are they asking to pay ammount by instalments? Because they are unable to pay within a week as HMRC asked them to!

HMRC wouldnt be accepting them paying by instalments if they thought it not viable..
as said above hardly the position we were in.
