' Oumar Niasse - Everton to Cardiff City '

Nothing in most links but a respected journalist on Twitter linking Niasse with Cardiff. Probably nothing in it but you never know.

Seemed to have fallen out of favour under Koeman and went on loan to Hull. Returned to Everton & scored 8 goals in 22 Premiership games.

Thoughts?

He has been mentioned on here before.

My thoughts are none as I know very little about him.

Probably just because Warnock mentioned him the other week when he did talksport.

Report: Cardiff City want Everton’s Oumar Niasse on loan

Sunday 3rd June 2018

Everton striker Oumar Niasse is reportedly wanted by Cardiff City in the summer transfer window.

Cardiff City are interested in signing Oumar Niasse from Everton in the summer transfer window and are set to make a bid, according to Sunday papers (print edition, page 59, June 3, 2018).

It has been reported that Cardiff manager Warnock wants Niasse on a season-long loan deal for the 2018-19 campaign and will ask Everton to sell the striker for a low fee next summer.

Oumar Niasse of Everton celebrates scoring his sides first goal during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Everton at London Stadium on May 13, 2018 in London, England.

Good signing for Cardiff City?

Niasse has been on the books of Everton since February 2016 when he joined from Lokomotiv Moscow for a transfer fee stated on the club’s official website to be worth £13.5 million.

The Senegal international has not had exactly a ‘great’ time at Goodison Park and had a loan spell at Hull City in 2017 as well.

Cedric Soares of Southampton battles for possession with Oumar Niasse of Everton during the Premier League match between Everton and Southampton at Goodison Park on May 5, 2018 in...

The 27-year-old striker, who earns £55,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, knows the Premier League, and a season-long loan deal would be good for Cardiff, who have won automatic promotion from the Championship this past season.

However, with Everton having appointed Marco Silva their new manager, the Toffees may not be willing to let go of the striker this summer.

Last time we were in the EPL, we didn't make a signing (AC) until early/mid June, even though there were rumours galore.
So not really bothered ATM, but I think there will be a flood of signings pretty soon.
Most of them will have never been mentioned on Twitter etc.

I think Nixon is the one who constantly said we were going to sign Grabban in January?

But I think this would be a good signing for us, can be hit and miss but very difficult to play against when he’s on form.

Most contracts run until the end of June so I wouldn't put much store in most rumours for a couple of weeks yet.

Isn’t the manager of Everton the same manager that took him on loan when he was at hull? If so he might be in his plans

Niasse is very direct, a real handful - very strong and pacy. A signing from the Martinez era, that despite being frozen out (by Koeman), and played sporadically before and since, does bag a goal or two. If he is available on loan or cut price, worth a punt. Hes a NW type player - and hes comfortable on either wing or through the middle, so a good squad player. Lacks the football intelligence of a top top player, but he does score and works hard. Seen him a few times a goodison. The lad needs a bit of love, he’d do well for Cardiff. The big money striker everyone on here seems to krave he is not though. Is Andre Gray miles better? .....no!

Warnock's comments came on Talksport the morning this story broke.

Think Everton will be looking to get shot, but based on Warnocks comments about team spirit and unity and not wanting to upset what they've got, I'd be surprised.

Oumar Niasse?

04/06/18

While doing some radio work last week Neil Warnock joked that he would take Everton striker Oumar Niasse to Cardiff City, for the right price of course.

And the Bluebirds are reportedly in the mix for the forward, with The Sun reporting that Cardiff manager Warnock wants Niasse on a season-long loan deal for the 2018-19 season.

He may also be available for a cut price permanent deal. Watch this space.
