ZIDANE TO TAKE CHARGE OF QATAR?

He may have just left Real Madrid after securing a third successive Champions League title, but, if telecoms tycoon Naguib Sawiris is to be believed, Zinedine Zidane could have a lucrative offer on the table, according to reports in AS.

The Egyptian has posted the following message on Twitter: “Zidane joining Qatar to coach national team for World Cup 2022. 50mn a year over 4 years ... Money talks?”

I cannot remember the year but Qatar had to beat Saudi Arabia in a World Cup qualifier to qualify for the World Cup. It was the biggest game of their history obviously so they let their own supporters into the stadium for free BUT made the visiting Saudis pay an entrance fee. I thought that was quite funny.

Anyway Saudi had the last last as they beat the Qataris 1-0 and progressed through.
