BEN WOODBURN
02/06/18
Speaking of immense young Welsh talent, he has always been rated by the Wales hierarchy as the best of the current crop.
It seems an eternity ago, but it was only in the season just gone that Woodburn made one of the most sensational debuts in Welsh football history when he scored that stunning World Cup winner against Austria.
He was at it again in Georgia, transforming a drab 0-0 affair to inspire another crucial three points with his pace and brilliance.
Wales and Liverpool fans hoped to see Woodburn kick on from that in club colours. But we only saw him in a League Cup game against Leicester and as an 84th minute substitute for Mo Salah on the final day of the season.
The sensation that is Ben Woodburn
At 18, Woodburn still has loads to learn. But if Harry Wilson comes back into the Anfield ranks, will Klopp let his other gifted Welsh young gun go out on loan?
If so, where to - the Premier League or Championship?
Many Cardiff City fans would love to see Woodburn line up for the 2018-19 campaign in blue.
Whatever, Liverpool's youngest goalscorer still has a huge future in front of him. Where that is played out in the short term remains to be seen.
