WAYNE HENNESSEY WITHOUT A CLUB
02/06/18
May have been Wales' man of the match in the 0-0 draw with Mexico and dubbed 'consistently brilliant' by Giggs, but Hennessey also finds himself at something of a career crossroads this summer.
His Crystal Palace contract runs out at the end of June and there is talk Roy Hodgson has only offered a new deal on reduced terms.
Palace have signed Spanish keeper Vicente Guaita and Hennessey is being linked with a move to replace Joe Hart at West Ham.
Faces an uncertain future, but won't want to be heading into the Euros or the Uefa Nations League this autumn as second-choice at club level.

with all the names being banded about with us at the minute for a new goalie i think he would be a welcome addition with us . can't see it mind as i think he would be offered more lucrative deals elsewhere

Go and get him

He’s rubbish, Etheridge is already better, we need a Premiership quality keeper not Championship , along with Striker the most important position in acPremiership team, saves the most points in the team.

A bit harsh on Hennessey that.
If he comes here i can see him taking Etheridge place which would be harsh on Neil.

Never trusted him, maybe I am harsh as other people seem to like him. I’ve seen some bad mistakes though and don’t trust him at all.

I think Etheridge will start the season as No1 and deserves his chance so can't see Hennessey coming here to warm the bench

I can’t help thinking whether so many fans would want us to sign him if he wasn’t Welsh.

He’s awful, will cost us at least 5 goals

We couldn’t afford his wages. Tim Krul free, experienced and has been playing backup for past year or so.

Krul apparently on more than Hennessey.
Not to sure why people are calling him rubbish, would be ideal for us really

Not a bad keeper at all, big lad. Would be a tidy signing that for nowt! Just give him a year, everyone’s a winner then.

What were Hennesey and Krul on for wages? I honestly have no idea, but would have thought being that the Welshman is worth more and plays regular that he was on more?
Both good keepers, I am happy with Etheridge but feel we need competition and coverage for when he’s on international duties.

We need Fabianski or better if we want to stay up

But if a silly statement, given Fabianski himself just got relegated

not sure if theres any players left annis hasn't mentioned ..... to be honest I've never rated Hennessey, he's a mid championship goalie at best. too many mistakes
Sat Jun 02, 2018 9:07 pm
70 Welsh caps and 162 Premiership appearances and some are saying he’s a Championship keeper, some on hear need to get real! He’d be our no 1 if he came here, much better keeper than Marshall and Etheridge than why he’s spent most of his career in the Premiership?

What about Fraser Forster can’t seem to buy a game at Southampton and was colossal for them and Celtic still only 30 isn’t he? As much as I love Etheridge if a top quality keeper came up you wouldn’t turn the chance away if anything the competition would improve him

In a shit team that sold their best Striker Llorente and best midfielder Sigguardsson, he almost kept them up on his own this season, you ask any Swansea fan. Hennessey is not half the keeper Fabianski is, that's why he is available !!!!
