Other players tipped to join Cardiff

Two interesting ones here... SkyBet have Cardiff City as potential suitors for both Leicester centre back Robert Huth and West Ham wide man Michail Antonio.

Huth is 6/1 to join the Bluebirds, with Antonio a long shot at 25/1.

Huth is a possibility but I can’t see Antonio leaving West Ham. He has done well for them & he was linked to one of the ‘bigger’ Premier League clubs within the past month but can’t remember which one it was.

Does anybody really take these tips seriously?

Most of the players mentioned are on silly wages and likely to demand ridiculous transfer fees.

It is open season for any tom dick or harry to be linked with any number of football clubs.

Until I see a new player on the official City web site with a blue shirt on I try to ignore it all.

I wouldn't mind Robert Huth he is a strong defender and could help us out if Bamba or Morrison get tired of injured so it is a yes for Robert Huth for me

I can imagine Huth being a Warnock type player so it wouldn't surprise me but im hoping we go for someone a bit younger who can be back up or push there way in but have value after.

Is antonio really out of our league? Pellegrini prob be signing some quality wingers and he will be down rhe pecking order and not in the team there imo, we are a premier league club and if he wants premier league football then we are a suitor.

Im not clued up on antonio anyhow dont know if hes that good or not??

Anthonio is a real class act. Injured last season for a long spell.

I don’t see why we need Huth if anything we need to blood a talented and raw CB and there’s plenty of them about - if love to see a cheeky loan for Trevor Chalbolah from Chelsea or buy a young gun from the lower leagues. Our starting CB roster is solid. Michail Antonio is awesome and can play up top RW and even RWB - however- he’s not going to move to us, one of West’s hams go to players when fit. Snodgrass was decent when he was younger but doesn’t seem the same player in his 30s, although would add some experience to our midfield for the Prem despite playing in Championship last season.

I expect our signings to be completely left field as usual, and the names mentioned don’t really set the world a light but tbh that’s what the media want when they’ve labelled us as relegation prime candidates
