WOLVES RE-SIGN £12.5M AFOBE

01/06/18

Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe has passed a medical and has completed a £12.5m transfer to Wolves, SSN understands.

The Championship winners took up an option to buy Afobe, following a six-month loan deal from the Cherries.

The frontman scored six goals in seven starts.

Bournemouth paid Wolves a then club-record fee of £10m for Afobe in January 2016.

Wolves have spent around 35 mil so far once the deals for Jota, Akobe and Boly go through, no doubt they will purchase Neves to, Wolves are spending big ready for the Prem.

But what are they signing? They finished less than 10 points ahead of us.

Exactly.

They are just spending money keeping the same Championship squad.

It’s clear they are going to be spending big, as they will obviously be adding to the players they had from the championship. Can we match wolves spending ?

Lol. It’s called squad depth.. And if anyone has payed attention the past couple of years in transfers, this is low end. Seems to me Wolves know what need to be done.

Exactly mate squad depth, we are losing a load of our championship players including two of the better players hoilett and Gunnar, wolves are not making the same mistake and are signing their championship winning team up, fairplay to them.

Can we match their spending no. Should we try to also no. Dressing room harmony is integral to the way we play. Too many new additions on wages way ahead of those that got us up will be the road to ruin in my opinion.

I think we should spend 50 mil, if we spend 20-30 it won’t be enough. 50 mil is not to much and don’t forget this can be re couped if relegated, clauses should be out in contacts for a wage deduction if relegated, if they won’t agree to that don’t sign them.

The point is, they haven't ADDED anyone yet and spent money.

It's a bit obvious they will add more players but their squad is CURRENTLY still the same as last season while spending quite a lot. Depth will cost them more.

The team they have is strong enough imo to stay up with the addition of 2/3 players. We have lost Grujic, Hoilett, Gunnar and a few more. Our squad is looking very weak at the minute hopefully Warnock starts strengthening soon and doesn’t leave it to late.

It's not guaranteed we've lost all them yet and two of them according to this site should not be offered contracts anyway.

To be fair our squad was regarded as weak by everyone and promotion was unrealistic, and look what happened :ayatollah:

NW is as we speak lining up new signings 100%, he’s no fool and knows the players he wants to keep us up. After last season there should be no doubt. :ayatollah:

We all know he’s a top manager at championship level but prem not so sure. Still I would stick with Warnock even if we finished bottom, I just hope we giv a good crack and not go down with a whimper
