Andreas Cornelius

Would you go back in for Cornelius and give him another crack at the Prem. He didn’t have much luck last time but he couldn’t hit a barn door or trap a bag of cement, has seemed to improve a touch now.

I’m sure he’s scored a champions league goal at some point ?

I believe we payed well over the odds for him, but never had a chance really. Was pretty much injured majority of the time. You can't really judge his time at Cardiff, If everything that was happening behind close doors last time never happen, could of be a great signing? It was Malky player, but malky got sack and we brought in oli. Oli just brought a lot of shit in and got rid of one of our potential prize asset cornelius for a fraction of the price. I would support him if we was to sign him, highly doubt we'd get him. Our club were going through bad times then. Just glad that everything's all good now and we can have a proper crack at Premier league.

An incredible amount of shit gets written about Ole Gunnar on here at times but blaming him for the departure of Cornelius is a new one on me.

I agree. It was MMs signing and we all know what MM alledgedly got from it.
He’s a wuss of a player and looked awful every time I saw him in a city shirt. How anyone can suggest anything else is completely beyond me but I suppose that’s just my opinion.

Agree with Acorn being a wuss.

Picked up on that in the pre-season friendly at Forest Green where he made his debut. Also look like of bag of potatoes the goal he scored there.

Not a snowball's chance in he'll that Vinnie would pay for him!!! And if NW was to suggest it then 'd love to be a fly on the wall.
That said none of what happened in the last was Acorns fault and I hope he does well in the World Cup.
Also can you imagine Gary Madine in the Champions league!! Or World Cup :laughing5: I think that Acorn is much better than Madine and we paid £6 million For him!!!
arrrghh - dont tell Vinnie!! :bluebird:

Vincent tan would have a heart attack at the mention of his name his eyes would be rolling behind those glasses like a one armed bandit.

I wouldn't even take him then !! I remember when he came on at Anfield, not only were the Liverpool fans laughing at him, we were too !!

Madine is limited but sucks up the batterings unlike ACorn who would be out for 6 months with a bloody nose !!

At best I would say Cornelius isn't up to Prem standard, but being truthful he's not even at Div 1 standard. He may do alright in the World Cup because defenders aren't allowed touch strikers but in British football he will never make it, simple.

We all have a fair bet why he was signed, a number of those involved made a lot of money out of it but it wasn't Cardiff City !!

Malky got the sack BECAUSE he bought ACorn { well it was the begining of the end for him } ..the boy was nowhere near good enough let alone worth a record fee and record wages and pretty much everyone knew it, wasnt long before Tan became aware of the consensus of opinion either.
had zero to do with OGS who actually gave ACorn a start in his very first game in charge..then brought him on as a sub his 2nd game then started him again in the cup game against Bolton...

Re: Andreas Cornelius

Thu May 31, 2018 3:23 pm

Aye OGS gave him a chance but he was well below the standard then and IMO he hasn't improved that much to date.

Re: Andreas Cornelius

Thu May 31, 2018 4:26 pm

Not that I would love to have him here but under the right manager he might flourish. Just like any other player. Like we are being linked with Andre gray, hasn't done much over the last year But if warnock believe he can get him going he might be the striker we are looking for. I will be happy if our player and signing just have the right attitude and determination we might just stay up.

He couldn't run or hit the target in the warm up, he looked better suited as a bin man?

No I wouldn't want to see the waste of space, money and oxygen ever again !!!

He did hit the target once and got a big cheer. The look on his face showed that we thought he was shit.

I remember Sky reporting on a cup game he played in, I think he may have gone off injured in it and the ripped right into him. I've never seen Sky Sports be so brutal on a player doing commentary.
