Stick or twist?

Tue May 29, 2018 3:00 pm

With Liverpool just starting their transfer window off with 100 million for two players how does City aim to compete? Let’s say we have a budget of 20 million plus what we can raise by selling players, Warnock is faced with a tough market. Something that sparked debate is whether we would consider trading assets? I love Bamba and truly hope he stays. With rumors that we are interested in Josh Windass and Gerrard stating he wants to revamp Rangers’ defence - should we consider a part - exchange? Manga in the middle is class and has youth on his side. But Bamba offers so much to the dressing room it would be a difficult choice. I think that the Central midfielders we sign could make or break our season which is the only reason I bring up the debate?

What’s your thoughts?

I suppose Liverpool are looking to win the league, we are looking to finish 17th or above if possible. We all know that there are leagues within a league where the Premier is concerned, and we are in a different one to Liverpool. We may even take points off them, there are often some strange results, but we are really in a different competition to them with completely different objectives.

We are not competing with the top six that's a league within a league.

This is why it’s crap, happy to stay up this season and come back down next, solely for the stupid money on offer to keep us afloat. season after season of fighting for scraps is not for me. I’d rather yo yo the championship is by far the most exciting league. The premiership is all about top 6 and nothing else.

Just to clarify, I think we are all too aware that we are not competing with the top 12 premiership teams. But as I said with such a small budget would anyone be willing to sacrifice say Bamba for a much needed midfielder etc?
