Gunnarsson- What’s his value?

Sun May 13, 2018 6:42 pm

As we all know his contract is up and he said he wiil stay if we go up but is gone if we don’t.
I think Warnock will make him a contract offer as he seems to like him and trust him,but what would you value him at a week?
I’m going for 18k as he may not be a certain starter.

I am.pretty certain he said he was leaving for another challenge. There was no mention that a lack of promotion would see him leave.

If I'm honest I reckon he was going to go the the World Cup and look to raise his profile and get one last decent payday.

Gunner needs to make a decision within the next few weeks before the world cup, to be fair hes been a great servant but we have to move on quickly and make signings quickly.
NW likes to do business early, benefits team spirit and we can settle everyone in before and during pre season.
Remember the season starts August 11th.

Let him go, to many injuries and he wasnt up to it when super fit. An easy one to get off the wage bill.

Agreed I thought we looked better when he was injured, although saying that we looked pretty good in those first five games too ?

Warnock won't be fecked about, I saw one interview where he said he's put it on the line with his agent, sign again if he's not too greedy otherwise, he can go.

Yeah if we had remained in the championship id consider him on a 1 year deal as a squad player.

In the Prem, not for me not even as a squad player.

No I'm pretty sure he specifically said it was the championship he didn't want to play in implying if we got promoted that he'd want to stay. He won't get a better offer than playing for us in the prem, but to be honest I hope he doesn't stay as he's not good enough.

Agreed, I would be disappointed if he wasd our first choice CM next season but would be a handy squad member and is a pretty good influence on the dressing room as I understand it.
