Neil Warnockk:If we are Rock bottom by Xmas & they want me

Fri May 11, 2018 8:59 pm

NEIL WARNOCK:

"If it went pear-shaped and we were, you know, rock bottom at Christmas, and they wanted me to go, it wouldn't bother me. And if I wanted to carry on I'd go to another Championship club and go after my ninth!" - Neil Warnock

I’m of the mindset that if we went down we would go down together and go again. However it’s not my investment that I would jeopardising so it’s highly unlikely if this sceneriao were to happen. I can’t imagine Warnock losing the changing room regardless of how bad a run is, so why would any other manager do better given his experience.

I wouldnt be opposed to just give him the full season no matter what after how well this season has been. Plan longer term instead

It does feel to me all of us have resided to the fact we will go down.

If i was a betting man I would put money on it. However its how we go down is what we should be looking at. If we are in and out of the relegation spots fighting then we keep Warnock. If we are planted on the bottom from the start then we keep Warnock. If it looks like we are going down in January we keep Warnock. If we do go down we keep Warnock and blame the players.

It is going to take a brave man to blame Warnock.

I think Warnock knows his level and what he's good at.

Comments not exactly inspiring.

Staying in the Premiership is not the be all and end all. More important than that is a cohesive club.

At the moment we are all together, unlike the 1st time. I think it's more important for us to stay together as one, and that includes Warnock. If I was the Owner/Chairman I'd say to Warnock you have a full season, no matter what happens.

And as fans I'd say forget about results. Obviously we'd all love to win every game but that's not going to happen. So every point is a bonus, and we're all in this together. Our strength this season was unity, nobody liked us or our Manager so esentially we thought "f**k you"......we'll do it in spite of you.

Let's keep the same spirit, whatever League we are in. :bluebird:

I disagree with your last statement.
The premiership and the championship are completely different and if Warnock continues with his tactics of booting the ball up front for players to chase and not holding on to the ball for more than a few passes in midfield then I can see a lot of fans getting angry, frustrated and starting to blame him.
