Rangers attacker Josh Windass is a £3million summer target for Premier League duo Cardiff City and Burnley.
The 24-year-old signed a new long-term deal at Ibrox in February but could be tempted to return south of the border with the lure of playing in England's top flight.
Neil Warnock and Sean Dyche are keen to get the former Accrington Stanley man as they look to bolster their squads.
Warnock has been keeping close tabs on Windass and could make a move with the Bluebirds having secured their return to the EPL.
Rangers director of football Mark Allen is reported to have been compiling a dossier on the Ibrox squad for new boss Steven Gerrard with a summer clearout expected.
Eduardo Herrara, Fabio Cardoso, Andy Halliday, Jak Alnwick, Joe Dodoo, Bruno Alves and Michael O’Halloran are expected to be shown the door, while Ibrox chiefs may also decide to cash in on Alfredo Morelos.
An £11million offer was rejected for the Colombian striker in January but the 21-year-old could be allowed to go for a significantly less fee to give Gerrard funds to make his mark on the squad.
A lot of Rangers fans are saying we are in talks with Josh Windass for £3 million. I think there's no doubt he's got talent but there's been a lot of questions over his work rate this season. Would you take the punt? Personally I think Rangers would love it if this deal happened, they would of made a massive profit on him and £3 million in the bank for Gerrard.

Does sound like the sort of signing Warnock would want, not what you’d call a big time Charlie - the sort of players Warnock said he wants to avoid.

Most Probably paves the way for Lee Tomlin to join Nottingham Forrest on a permanent too.

I can't see anything that indicates this lad is worth £3 million. He may be worth a punt, but at a fraction of that price in my opinion.

Yeah 3m is nothing at premiership prices.

That's cheap even by championship standards for a forward! But NW knows what he wants/requires so hopefully get it right when comes to signings.

If he's lazy wouldn't bother unless warnock can work his magic. Just don't suit warnock style of play

Seemed to be the shining light in what was a pretty poor season for rangers, PL is a different ball game though.
Pardon the pun

A lot to prove at a higher level. Madine has better credentials to make it at Premier League level, and I’m not sure he’s good enough either.

Goes missing in the ‘big games’ up there if you will.
Not for me.

Heard about this last night.Ive seen a lot of him at Rangers, imo he's lightweight, lazy and goes missing in games,a bit of a pretty boy type, doesn't seem like a warnock player.Has split the Rangers crowd, most seem to dislike him,a poor player in a poor team, nowhere near 3million.Sheff Utd bid 300k in January.
