Lee Tomlin

Would you have him back next season?

Think he’d be even better in the prem with the space he could get I still think he one of the best midfielders in the championship if he stays fit he seemed pretty fit at forest and done very well just if Warnock fancies him here next year.

Def Not.

Might do ok next season in Champ, but Premier League, is a total different world.

No No No
Quoted as saying he wanted to come back if we won promotion, but if we didn't then that would be a different matter!!

I said it is that good enough ;) He won't be back too much baggage shame though I liked his style but he is not a Warnock Way player.

It’s here (forum post “Lee Tomlin’s future” 17 April 18 (sorry I don’t know how to link):

Lee Tomlin's future

The Nottingham Post have assessed the lie of the land on Lee Tomlin’s future and how likely he is to stay with Forest

This is what they wrote...

Contract: Loan deal until the end of the season

What of the future? That probably depends on Tomlin himself. If Cardiff get promoted to the top flight, he’s talked about going back to Wales and having a crack at the top level, whether or not Neil Warnock would allow that remains to be seen.
If the Bluebirds don’t get a place in the Premier League either in second place or through the play-offs, then you sense Tomlin would be more open to a move here.
It’s no secret about the level of admiration both Tomlin and Karanka have for each other, so the Reds boss will be keen to keep the mercurial frontman on Trentside, but it will cost with City looking to recoup as much of the £2.7m they paid Bristol City last summer as possible.

Who cares he has gone and if Forest want to give us anything like £2.7m then this week is getting even better.

Perfect

He needs to get his fat arse in shape then

Re: Lee Tomlin

No. he didn't have the attitude to stay fit for this season. He was unfit at Christmas, totally unexpectable and bad pro. Waste of space.

Re: Lee Tomlin

Wed May 09, 2018 10:02 pm

There's better out there. Let's grab the Forest money and run

EVEN BETTER....sit upright in dugout instead of slouched?

Re: Lee Tomlin

Wed May 09, 2018 11:12 pm

Wouldn't mind keeping him on the basis he moved into an hour radius of Cardiff, I think Warnock really made a meal of this.. did he sign him knowing he would still be commuting from Leicester?

Embarrassing really a bloke who's 30 can't move an hour or two up the road closer to the club he is contracted for when he has played in the UK all his life when you have players age 19/20 moving from Brazil playing in the Premier League like Gabriel Jesus for Man CIty all be it he is getting a better wage and opportunity but could still turn around and say he is too young and not ready to make the move when we are paying a 30 year old bloke who is not even match fit a healthy wage to not even move anywhere near Cardiff to train/play.

Re: Lee Tomlin

Wed May 09, 2018 11:15 pm

Sell, poor fitness levels mean he will not come into NW plans

Re: Lee Tomlin

Thu May 10, 2018 5:23 am

Tomlin was actually quoted saying he went out on loan because he couldn't get game time.

No hidden agenda

Re: Lee Tomlin

Thu May 10, 2018 8:05 am

Yeah, don't think he's part of Warnock's plans and we could well sign three midfielders making him even more peripheral.

Re: Lee Tomlin

Thu May 10, 2018 8:43 am

If he wants to stay and work hard for another crack at the Premier League then let him try. At the age of 30, he isn’t going to get many more chances. He almost certainly is good enough, but he’ll have to work harder than he has so far. If he wants to stay closer to Cardiff I’ll clear the boxes out of my spare room and put a lock on the fridge and he can come and stay here in Barry.

Re: Lee Tomlin

Thu May 10, 2018 8:54 am

Warnock stated he speaks to Tomlin all the time, he also stated the court case and community service hampered him so he went out on loan. The quote that doesn’t quote anything is more forest clutching at straws to keep a player who did well for them, no surprises there.

I think he’ll be given a go, if he comes back fit and ready to challenge for a spot.

Re: Lee Tomlin

Thu May 10, 2018 9:06 am

He's not fit enough for the Championship, we shipped him out ???

Of course not he can go to a mid table Championship team !!!
