Like many other city fans I am still struggling to get over the monumental day that took place on Sunday, but now our attention turns to the signings that we will clearly need to make to stay up at the end of next season.
I agree that spending millions is not always the case when it comes to being successful although it certainly helps and as Warnock and Tan both agreed, the club will not be spending silly money over the summer.
We will need a new goal poaching striker , and another rw to back up Mendez (who I reckon could be surprise package if he stays fit). Matty Phillips springs to mind for me because I think he's out of contract in the summer and would be a good fit because his direct running is on point and is fast as hell.
We also need a new RB as although I do like pelts I think he will struggle with the pace of the BPL so someone like Eric Lichaj could be a viable option. Not proven in the premier but can also be a threat going forward.
Bringing Chris Gunter back could be a huge hit with the city faithful and still has not forgotten his roots and showed a degree of appreciation to us, along with the nice touch of doing the ayatollah.
I believe that Cardiff could potentially take advantage of teams being relegated from the premier league this year, Stoke have that Badou Ndiaye who I believe would be a good fit for warlocks plans, he is rated by EFL scouts and when fit can be a decent squad player on his day. AS Jazz Richards has done by swapping the jacks for us I think signing Joe Allen could be another good option to keep on the table and it will certainly do no harm having a few extra welsh players in the squad.
If City can sign Rondon or Andre Grey it would be awesome as they BOTH have premier league experience and would fit into Warnocks plans. Vokes also has not nailed down a place at Burnley so imagine brining him to the club.
I know that bringing in welsh players will not automatically mean that Cardiff will be able to compete with the big boys but how good would it be to see a few welsh players doing well in the Prem
