Here's my negative thread already.

I hope Warnock was not seriuos when he said we are only in for 5-6 signings. If that is true we are in trouble imo.
How many of you really think that is all we need in truth?

i agree we might need more


however if you get 6 premiership quality players who will all be first teamers and fit in well in the team then itll give us a hell of a shout.


the odds on only buying 6 and all 6 being like that are slim mind

We will probabably have a few loanees as well. Harry Wilson, Ben Woodburn and Grujic would be good.

We all know what type of manager Warnock is. Any incomings will need to follow the same ethos and gel with the squad.

We cannot ignore the type of honourable man he is. He will see what the current team have done and they will get their shot.

8 or 9 players is nearly a new first team. It ain't gonna happen.

Now the pressure is off and we are up we will see fans return to the demands for high profile players for massive fees.

To many new faces does not work by time they gel you've already lost games maybe wouldn't have with old players? Mind you get them in early and chances improve with good pre season

That's what I was thinking and hoping. In Warnock we trust, I just couldn't bare comming straight back down again.

I hope he means 5 or 6 new players and then of course replace the ones who are leaving.

I think 6 new first team players is enough, the current players can fit around that. We then need to replace othes leaving and make sure they are better than the ones leaving.

I'd agree. 2 mids 2 strikers and a keeper as Etheridge misses a big part of the season on internationals

I just hope Neil doesn't do a Malky and try to mould a few no hopers into Premier material when they clearly can't cut it. However, with his vast and unique experience I don't think he will. Im confident he'll thank a few for their contributions and move them on. However, I don't think he'll spend a fortune on new recruits: he'll spend the money wisely and equally important for him as success on the field will be the long term sustainability and onward development of the club. I expect he'll have a few surprises up his sleeve next season.
