I genuinely do t understand any person chosing anything other than yes.
Rebrand promotion was not true cardiff city....

No question: last time felt false, this is the real deal. And we've got the right manager...superb!

It’s not the colour of the shirts that made the difference, it’s the team spirit and the fact that it went to the last game. Last time, we were always favourites for promotion and no other team really challenged us. We had 6 draws to finish the season.
This time it has been a real challenge to the end and just for once, someone else f—ked up at the last moment (Fulham). Much more satisfying.

I don't understand any person not seeing the first promotion for what it was.
The first time many of us would have ever seen a promotion to the top flight.
Don't belittle the experience for the TEAM and the FANS by suggesting it was not true.
Rebrand was a non football debacle but the football goes on.

Well put Wayne. I suppose the question is the last promotion seemed wrong on so many levels but because we hadn't experienced anything like it before it was special at that time.
Yesterday though was RIGHT on so many levels and because of that it felt 10 times better than 2013

Was'nt interested in watching the Bluebirds play in red, and so this will be my first opportunity to see us play in the top flight after 50 years of supporting us. Seems like the real Cardiff City this time. I am looking forward to the future now we have a good manager, an owner who has put right the mistakes of the past, and fans who seem mainly to be united again. If everyone is pulling together, we may even surprise a few people next season.

Much better this time its real its a fantastic achievement not just by Warnock but buy everybody at the club.
In red i was just angry it was all wrong so im happy now feels great.

Only one true answer. This one! The only thing in favour of last time was it was our first time getting to the prem, and the first time in the top flight for a very long time. First times are always special but this time feels more authentic. We also have a clear and transparent strategy with everyone signing from the same hymn sheet

Without a doubt, the blue is a huge part obviously but last time we spent big compared to the other clubs and it had a sense of expectation.
This year on a small budget compared to others we were the underdogs. Also it going to the last day gave it that edge. Canton before the game was like nothing I had seen before.
I think this team has a manager who more people can relate to, his interviews are interesting and don't sound like they have come from a interview book, he seems on of us and doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. Also the players who have cost little but give their all.
This season was so much more from day 1
Mon May 07, 2018 5:19 pm
Easily better, more unexpected, still got most of the pomp and ceremony anyway and I think it's as better team.
So a big attraction to winning the league so I can understand people voting different.
Mon May 07, 2018 5:27 pm
Yes without a doubt. Hated the red debacle and loving yesterday and Tans interview recently.
I did enjoy the party down the Bay last time though.

Circumstances surrounding the club a few years ago are totally different to now.
I didn't want the team to play in red, but that apart, we still had some proper City players who, along with Malky, deserved their promotion on merit, e.g. Super Kev, Mark Hudson,Heidur Helguson and more, so please don't belittle their achievement.
The coming of the Gaffer came at exactly the right time for us supporters and more importantly the club. He has overseen a complete transformation and I only wish we'd got him a couple years earlier, i.e. before the wilderness years of Trollope and Slade.
The Gaffer has moulded together a hard working team who respect him and the wisdom of his experience,. They also play for each other and I believe both the Gaffer and players truly appreciate our support.
There were no big spending clubs like Wolves & Villa during our first Premier League promotion year and despite the odds and the almost universal dislike of the Gaffer, his methods and of course, us i.e. Cardiff City, he's done it and boy oh boy it's sweet!
Thanks Gaffer and long may you reign!

I was (and am) a big fan of MM but looking back in hindsight, due to the rebrand, anti-tan feeling and also connection we had with the manager it felt like MM had been promoted to the premier league and not Cardiff City.
During our last premier league season, the main chant from the Cardiff stands was 'Don't sack MacKay' which deftly sums up our entire PL season. What should have been a united effort to out perform the bottom half of the table was instead overshadowed by the relationship between Tan and MM/Tan and City Fans - Tan, MM and the rebrand dominated the entire season.
This time around, whilst Warnock has a great rapport with the fans, it is Cardiff City who have been promoted with the media and fans focusing on the many positives around the club rather than the numerous controversies. The rebrand is in the distant past and now almost the entire fanbase has got over it. Everyone can has enjoyed this amazing season and promotion which makes this occasion so much better than the last.
Happy to forget the past and look forward to staying up next year. Roll on the Premier League 2018/19 season!

Where did you get that from?

I'll go a zillion percent better

This one is hands down better, Not because of the rebrand, but last time we spent big and were one of the favourites to do it! This time we were mid table fodder, punching well if we flirting with play offs. Then we spend an entire season in top 4, and over half of that in top 2. For the pundits this wasn’t good enough cos we don’t play the proper way!!
I am sorry but the game is about winning points, we had more points than 22 other teams so surely we play the proper way?? After all tippy tappy shit doesn’t necessarily get you points does it. So bollox to all those who were desperate for Fulham to do it. Their side will be torn apart if they don’t go up. Here’s to hoping cos I am sick of hearing about them.

100% Yes. We did it the hard way grinding out results right up to the last day and fought for every point. The media ignored us, some wrote us off. Oppo fans and managers said we would fall away. Our style of football was criticised by jealous fans and crap pundits. Even with a an injury list that would have finished most teams, the team just got on with it. Pressure has was always shrugged off. The squad always battled for the full 90 amd play for each other. Even the EFL was against us after Derby cheated. And we only spent a net £1M where others have spent £££"s.
Most importantly, we did it in Blue with the fans and club finally reunited. We couldn't be in better hands than Neil Warnock and for us to having him leading this campaign into the next is simply superb. Hats off to VT for fully supporting him and leaving him to get on with what he does best, you can see the chemistry they have and we are now in a fantastic position as a club. We are now a PL club in great shape for the future, both on the pitch and off it.

If we can sign the right mix of young hungry talent from Championship and experienced old heads ( who aren’t just here for the final payday) then I think we have a chance .

The first promotion felt better for me if I am totally honest I had been waiting so long for it . However one thing is for sure I will enjoy the premiership next year more than the last time whatever our results.

You felt good watching a team promoted in a red shirt purporting to be Cardiff city AFC the bluebirds?. I didn't it made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Where as Sunday was real and something I've waited for since 1975.

Just answering the question truthfully I had been watching City for 40 years at the time and the desire to see them in the top division at the time blurred my opinion regarding the red The red did not hit me until we were in the premiership when my head said after all the years waiting for the top division we should be in blue. This time I was not worried if we got to the top division as I hated the last time we were there Also my boys had grown up and they were not as excited this time but that is an age thing I suppose
