I doubt that could happen. Unless the loan was specifically agreed to end pre-play offs (which I don’t think we’d have been keen on at the time). Also unsure if there aren’t any FA rules about such circumstances.

But our season is over .I would assume he has to return to his club .?

Loans usually include up to and including the play offs.
