Watching it back and fans singing “Aron Gunnarson, we want you to stay”

Don’t think he will personally but am looking forward to seeing what happens with the playing staff over the next few months

Re: Gunners

Time for him to move on and better himself like he said earlier in the season

Re: Gunners

Can't see us offering him a new deal now we're up

Re: Gunners

Out of contract, I don't see a reason to renew it now. I don't think he is up to it, I'd rather we tried to sign Bryson.

He had his chance to sign but refused now the ball is firmly in our court.

Personally if he wanted to commit to us he would have done so back when the offer was there, had players on loan giving their all for a cause to make this happen while he was waiting on it.

He had his chance and he thought it would be better elsewhere.Let him go now

Re: Gunners

Neil Warnock just said in a sky sports news live interview he believes Gunnarsson will stay with us now we are promoted.

Will be a good signing for us he is still a very good player and underated.

Gunnerson is not good enough for The premier league we need to be aiming higher if we want to compete well

Re: Gunners

Squad game and I’d definately have him.

Not a first teamer though

just like myself you have no idea what he was or was not offered..possibly less than his current contract .

Equally we don't know if he is worth his current contract either.

well someone offered him his current contract so therefore thought him worth whatever it is..
and listening to Warnock it sounds like he is confident of now signing him again..so must think him worth something...although bringing him in for the bigger games showed that...

Yeah at the time they thought he was worth it. Doesn't mean a manager won't think he can get someone better as back up on a lower wage now we have been promoted.

Warnock seems to like him which concerns me. I honestly believe Gunner coming back almost cost us promotion. Hope he's better for the world Cup but glad he missed our games.

I'd certainly rather keep Gunnar than Bryson even though I think he'd be more of a squad player next season

I was just going to say that Warnock seems to really like him, so I thought he would want him to stay, I think he must be good off the pitch for Warnock too as Warnock wants a tight squad that get on, that's why some were bombed out.

Personally I think we need better, but Warnock knows how to build a team, so if he's keen there will be a reason, even if it's just for long throws when needed late in games!!

I will be concerned if we see Gunnerson starting the season.

Well that would be a change as currently the long throws are used for the whole 90 minutes!

True and he won't want to pull a centre half out of defence to take them in the Premier league, or Paterson who is one of the best finishers and needs to be in the box to receive them !!

really dont get the cost us promotion thing tbh...was clearly given a restricting job against possibly this leagues 2 most creative players in definately the 2 games we were most likely to lose.. both ended 1wonder goal to nil in games that could have gone either way..hardly a disaster..
never been a favourite of mine on the ball but off it he is the best we have.

I don't think he's good enough for the Premier League but Warnock knows way more than me.

You can't fault his work ethic during games but his passing is a bit suspect if you ask me.
