Sacking Warnock if we have a bad season

I’ve wanted to say this for a while, but have never really seen any point. Now that we are one win away from promotion I think it’s a decent time to bring it up.

There’s been a lot of ambitious and optimistic posts, and rightly so. Football is to be enjoyed so why not the moment. If nothing comes of this and we are somehow a championship club next season then get the enjoyment out of the way, sure, it’s safe to keep your feet firmly on the ground but we deserve to have fun.

My problem, is I’ve seen a question fluttered about that includes Warnock being with Cardiff if we are flirting with relegation IF we get promotion.
I’m quite dissapointed to see that it isn’t really 1 or 2 people saying it, it’s probably about 30% of City fans saying they appreciate everything Warnock has done but he;
1: shouldn’t be here if we get promoted
Or
2: should be sacked if next season doesn’t go well and we are in the relegation zone.

I can’t believe that though. If we are in the relegation zone then we back Warnock. Simple as that.
Let’s say there’s two outcomes, we get relegated with a gamble Manager, who we have to trust in the championship to get promotion. OR we get relegated with Warnock.

Who’s the more likely to keep us competitive in the championship?

I don’t really expect Warnock to carry on after next season to be honest but who knows. He might retire in a year or 2. But as long as he’s as Cardiff, we cannot let go of him. He’s more important to this club than anything. He’s even more important than our fans at this stage because he has proven time and time again that even with an empty crowd he still gets results.

Promotion or no promotion, can we please not sack Warnock at any point.

Agreed 100%, lets do a burnley (if we go up) and make some longer term plans. If we do struggle then the manager and the players who got us there deserve the chance to put it right. A short term fix and chucking loads of money around is not a good solution for our club

If we win tomorrow and are promoted, which I am certain of, I hope we do well in the PL but if we struggle, then so be it and IMO Sir Neil Of Warnock has to stay here until he wishes not to.

Sir Neil of Warnock will decide when he wants to leave

If we do go up... Warnock stays r what...relegation is fine the club will make a mint and I would back. Warnock for a 9th promotion to then hand over to Bellamy

Also our direct style of play would be easy meat for the top teams (as Man City showed us).
I would like to see Allen with us, as we need a ball player in the side. Perhaps he can aspire to a Leggy status.

Yes he was. So was Andy Legg.
He’s also a great player.

I know legg was good for city. Does that mean we start seeking out jacks to join us? Dilutes our identity a bit imo

BTW I still believe Antony gerrard missed that penalty on purpose when we played Liverpool. It's the closest he'll ever come to scoring the winner in a cup final for his dream club.something he dreamed of since childhood

He shouldn’t have been no where near taking a pen in the first place , as soon as I saw him walk up I knew he was gonna miss

Man City ??? They've just battered all the Premiership and half of Europe, Stoke went up and caused mayhem with direct football, don't judge us on a cup game against Man City, and Joe Allen didn't do much for the current Stoke team who are already relegated !!!
