In the Championship next season

Stoke’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace means they’ll be playing in the Championship next season.

Cardiff fans will be hoping they don’t play the Potters.

My least favourite away trip in the Prem last time round. Rubbish match and deafening PA. Charlie Adam could have been sent off twice and Declan John was clean through on goal in the last couple of minutes but dragged it wide - can't remember anything else happening :( :( :(

The only away game I got to that season. In fact, the first one I ever went to. What a disappointment it was! :D

I’ll always remember Malky walking over to the away fans at the end, and giving us the old fist pump as if we’d just got a great result. Truth is, they were there for the taking the entire game, and Malky did nothing about it. That was the moment I realised he was not the right man for us in that league.

I remember that fist thump. Don't think anyone was impressed amongst us. A lot of talk then about him getting that sack.

Stoke were all over us second half. I was in denial then but we were relegation fodder. Looking back perhaps he should have been sacked around then.

There were actually a good few boos at the end of that game. Thought the boos were over the top but it was an awful game.

Agreed. Always felt any point away from home in the PL was a good one and while that game was rotten, it was a point and a clean sheet.

Cracking clobber shop in town, I picked up a new coat that night

It was bloody freezing that night.
Malky bottled it. We should have won. Declan bottled it. He should have scored.Don Cowie couldn't /wouldn't take on slow as snails Charlie Adam.
I seem to remember our next away game was Palace when we were absolutely rubbish.Cornelius played and was abysmal. Vila- who were there for the taking - around the same time.
I hope whoever dreampt up the Dont sack Mackay song has regretted it ever since.

Glad I’m not the only one who remembers that fist pump. Really rubbed me up the wrong way at the time. Still does now, to be fair!
