“ AVERAGE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKLY WAGE “
Average Championship wages
More proof (as if we needed it) that Cardiff City are punching well above their weight this season...

Amazes me how Derby go about their business.
They don't have any parachute payments yet seem to avoid FFP. I know their crowds are one of the highest in the league but those figures are artificial as they give loads away to local businesses.

That's really interesting. Anyone have a similar list for the Premier?

The club have done brilliant recently to cut the bill down

A £15 million player (Neves) has got to be on in excess of 50 grand a week (conservative estimate) on his own.
Some highly creative accounting going on here I'd say.

It depends how they calculate it really. Wolves have a massive squad (albeit with a lot out on loan) and potentially a reserve and youth squad. This would bring the average wage of high earners down considerably.

So dodgy accounting then.
And who could forget Jack Rodwell at Sunderland earning £73,000 per week. And has barely played

Bottom line you can choose all sorts of ways to show figures to make them look respectable etc, the numbers below don’t look that bad, but in reality total wage figures would look shocking.
I work in procurement, and it’s my job to make the numbers look as attractive as possible. I wonder if they’ll publish total wages annually including bonus payments? I doubt very much....Lol

huge signing on fee and bonus scheme would keep the wages down for that table.

Amazed by this as under DJ it was around the £10 - £13 K at the time.
The club have done well to get rid of the wages created by the CLUELESS CLOWN OGS .
Well done to RS Who started this wage reduction and the present team
If we go up ( hope so ) - reward the squad and start to put a pay cap ion place .
We have a chance to GO UP AND STAY UP

It's not really dodgy though, is it?
Take the average and times it by amount of players they have to get a true reflection of the actual wage bill.
