Where the promotion trophy Cardiff City and Fulham are battling for will actually be on Sunday

The Championship’s runner-up trophy will be in south Wales ahead of Cardiff City’s crunch promotion clash with Reading.

WalesOnline understands the runner-up trophy will be in the Welsh capital due to the fact Cardiff are currently second in the league standings.

Along with the runner-up trophy, Cardiff will also be in battle with Fulham for promotion winners’ medals this weekend.

Despite a scenario where Cardiff would win, a number of first team players would actually miss out on a medal due to the EFL’s criteria on which players can receive the prizes.
