Gone are they days where match day income influences wages, transfer fees etc. It’s all about T.V money and sponsorship revenue.

Cardiff will generate about £300,000 more than usual from Sunday’s attendance and £100,000 of that is from T.V money from Sky as it’s a live broadcast.

For arguments sake,

The average attendance at the end of this season will be 20,200. Average cost of a seat including season tickets I would say brings in about £3.8m per season.

Corporate brings in about 0.9m.

When you think how much the wage bill is then without outside financial intervention we would be in trouble.

Full house everyone pay on day around £480k if all seats at £15 give or take couple of grand? So expect around £550k realistically with concession outlets ect ect :old:

32,000 x £15 = £495,000 + tv rights.

Average income over season 20,200 x £15 x 23 games = £6.96m

This is why teams like Bayern give the ST away for next to nothing.
It generates no money for the club and they'd rather have a packed stadium every other week.
