EFL clubs could scrap match day programmes
Tuesday 1st May 2018
This is likley to get people talking.
The EFL is set to hold talks with a number of Football League clubs in the summer to discuss the possibility of allowing teams to opt out of producing match day programmes next season.
Teams are expected to vote on proposals suggesting whether it should remain a requirement to print the paperback publication for each match day.
A decline in sales and the rise of digital media has been cited as the key reasons behind the debate, although clubs will still be able to produce a programme for supporters that would likely be available on smartphones and tablets.

I can understand that if its costing clubs money.
Be disappointing for those who collect them.
Other than for collectors I've never really understood the point in them, as by the time you buy it the info is mostly out of date plus its full of adverts.
