Cardiff City loanee to undergo surgery
Tuesday 1st May 2018
Aron Gunnarsson isn’t the only Bluebird to go under the knife.
Stuart O’Keefe, who’s currently on loan at League One side Portsmouth, is set to undergo surgery after his side’s final day clash with Peterborough.
The midfielder has proved popular on the south coast, but will need an operation to deal with an internal stitch that has become infected following a procedure on his groin earlier in the year.
O’Keefe is understood to still be in the running to play this weekend, with Head physio, Bobby Bacic, explaining to the local press:
“It’s causing a little bit of discomfort at the moment, but it’s something Stu can play with.
“Stu didn’t want to give up any time during the season - so he’ll have it done next week.
“The actual (original) operation went well and all is fine. Everything with the groin is secure and okay.”
