Morrison clearly well onside

Looks like Bryson is offside but who gives a f**k? I actually hope it was offside as that'll annoy them even more.

As I pointed out in other post offside is not nearest player but the last one!!!

Bryson didn't effect play. Morrison is clearly on. How are they moaning? Plus we'd have won 1-0 anyway the melts

There goal was offside v Sunderland and they should have had a penalty awarded against them. Cottagers clutching at straws. And you could see the nerves now creeping in too.

I must admit in the ground I half expected to see the flag go up and was relieved when it didn't. He's clearly on side

The problem is they have made the offside rule so complicated there is too much for a linesman/referee so see on there own.
I personally think both were offside. They need to go back to the old rules.If Any attacking player is in front of the defence when the ball is played its offside. Simple.

The not interfering with play rule is a joke because every player on the pitch is interfering to some extent. The cardiff picture is a perfect example, the defender is tracking Bryson and forgetting Morrison behind him so that makes him interfering in my eyes

I fully agree thomasblue, with all you say about going back to the old system but from the evidence of the picture of the OP, i think that you are wrong to say that both players are offside, as the rule says "from when the ball was played" (ie) left the players boot.

If you look closely at the pic, the ball actually leaves the players boot a micro second before the picture frame still, therefore Morrison is clearly onside and Bryson is at worst level with the defender as defender would have been slightly more on the backfoot (closer to goal) and bryson slightly more on the backfoot(closer to edge of box).

The groundsman grass line is usually straight and correct as they are mostly perfectionists.

But for the human eye, it would be hard if not impossible to see this at normal action speed. Although I still do not think that video ref is the answer.

It’s not that complicated really.

Maybe Hull should have tracked all the runners. Regardless, the goal is well onside.

agree with your points about it being difficult for officials to decide who is and is not interfering..and all players to some degree are interfereing...but Morrison offside..? does the pic your looking at have the penalty area marked.?..and as for tracking Bryson...hmm. he is not doing a very good job of that either...
