Only really this season have I actually been going to games because I now have a student loan to actually pay for me to goBefore I had no money to follow the City, especially living in Berkshire, so home games were out of the question and even London games cost far too much. Only Reading away could I really make, and even then I was always in the home end.
This season I've been to 14 aways and one home, but already planned to make the journey down for the last game a while ago. I certainly wasn't as into the club last season as this, even if I followed every result, and I certainly wouldn't have been busting a gut to make the 9 hour return train to Norwich if we weren't where we were, but I doubt most would be either.
I've got a season ticket for next year on the basis that I will have priority for the away games if we go up as much as anything. If I book train tickets in advance I should be able to make the majority of home games too, but would you really begrudge a fan who specially makes a trip to Liverpool but doesn't go to Norwich? Common sense has to be key.
Well done for getting back into the city lad

The kids tickets were only £50, and his was cheap so he doesn't care plenty as he has plenty of cash. He didn't bother to renew when we went down, and now goes to big games like Man City and tomorrow.
If we go up he will do it again, is that a plastic or a great fan because he buys season tickets?
Can you still buy £50 tickets for the family, I always thought it was stupid ??

I`ve been reading a few posts recently regarding people`s different opinions on fans who will come back to the club if promotion is secured .
I wanted to just quickly let you know my story and I wondered where I fitted into the views of the fans on this forum?
I first started watching Cardiff in 1989 , Tranmere at home to be precise, think it was on a Friday night. I went with a couple of mates and from that point on (even though the game finished 0-0) I was hooked!.
Throughout the 90`s and 00`s I went to a lot of games home and away with great memories at Scunthorpe, York, Wrexham and Fulham to name but a few. I was an avid supporter right up until the point we moved grounds . Then things started to drift away.... weeks suddenly became years then with the kit change I kind of completely fell out of love with football. To the point that I very rarely even watched a team in any league on TV. I still looked for the Cardiff`s results but even in the premier league season I wasn`t really interested.
I think it was probably Leicester winning the premier league that started to bring me around to what football can mean to fans and over the last two years I have slowly fell back in love with the best sport in the world. My son is now 8 years old and I kind of reluctantly held back on his football development as he was more interested in golf. That was until recently when he started to show an interest in football. Christmas time we were looking for something to do so we decided to go and watch Cardiff v Fulham . Bad defeat I know but still he really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ground etc. Since then we have gone to a lot of games and about 10 weeks ago I bought a family season ticket for next year .The family have been right behind City ever since and we have lived every crucial result . One minute we have been jumping up and down and the next going oh well that`s the end of that then!
All to where we are now . 1 game away from the promised land but this time in Blue.
My point to this whole post is really that people can always change and evolve. Don`t be too hard on people who have come back just because the team are doing so well. Hopefully if we go up or not this season will live long in the memories of bluebirds of all generations including the next wave of young support coming through.
We can`t wait for Sunday and fingers crossed the boys will do the business but even if things go wrong I just wanted to say thank you to the team and Mr Warnock for making my son a bluebird!!!!
