Flags or clappers for Reading game?

Now I know I'm probably going to get slammed for suggesting clappers because "they're a disgrace to the game and are everything that's wrong with modern football" but from my experience of cup finals, playoffs and Wales games, they really do generate a real atmosphere in a big stadium. I really hope there are some flags or something on our seats when we arrive Sunday because the club should be doing everything it can to make this the greatest atmosphere ever down the CCS! Nothing better for the players to witness a sea of 30,00 blue and white flags when walking on the pitch!

Perhaps they could give us all a card which when all of them are held aloft before kick off spells out "Up yours Fulham".

Agree with everything you said there. Blue and white flags would be great. Completely agree with you about the obsession with putting down clubs that use clappers when they clearly work and create a great atmosphere.

I like your thinking

• I like the idea of giving everyone a flag or scarf, I think it would make a good show (especially to go with the "Allez allez" chant).

• I also like the idea of give everyone a card to hold up before kick off...only problem with it is not everyone is in their seats before kick off, and not everyone sits where they are supposed to which can leave large gaps.

• Genuinely prefer the idea of a vuvuzela each to a clapper! They are almost as annoying, but at least it would be unique! My preference though would be to just let the fans make the noise themselves

No clappers please they are so false. You cannot beat the fans singing their hearts out, cheering, chanting and waving scarves as we did at Hull.

Flags all day long and the bigger the better. For noise, you'd never beat the air horns the German fans used to use in the 70s. Fabulous noise.

What about Tuk Tuks and flags definately made an impact around India

Is this a joke? Clappers!!We are Cardiff City not Fulham or MK Dons. We don't need false atmosphere. We would never live it down. The shame!

Clappers, No thanks. The last time we had clappers was when we played Reading in a play off semi a few years ago, remember?
